The Right Way to Dispose of Prescription Drugs - Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel UK, Ajit Patel Wemet

If your cabinet is filled with expired medication or perhaps you have medication you don’t need anymore, you may be wondering how you should throw them away safely. Prescription painkillers are now the leading entry drug into illegal narcotics. With a veritable plague of addiction and a growing black market for pilfered pills, it is vital that you learn how to dispose of prescription drugs. Before you head to the trash can, here are some tips to keep in mind:
Community ProgramsChances are your local community will often hold “take-back” programs. During these programs, volunteers will collect any hazardous waste in the household such as paint, cleaners and even medication. All you have to do is show up, hand them your trash bag and they do the rest. With most communities, as long as you’re a resident, you can take advantage of the program for free. To find one, search for “hazardous waste program,” followed by your city to see what comes up. You can also call your local government office for more information because you may find out there may be some drop off boxes nearby that are opened 24 hours a day.
Read the Label
Almost all prescription drugs will have specific instructions right on the label. Be sure to read the label to know what you can and can’t do when disposing the medication. Some medication simply will allow you to throw it away in the household trash, while other medication can be hazardous to the environment and will have to be taken to a hazardous waste center.
If the container doesn’t have a label, remove the medicine from its original container and mix it with an undesirable substance such as cat litter or dirt. By doing this, it will make it less appealing to people looking for drugs in the trash or animals looking for something to eat. With this mixture, mix it in a plastic bag and seal it. From there, know if this bag can go in the household trash. Since there are thousands of prescription drugs, most can be commonly thrown in the household trash; however, before doing so, a simple search for your specific drug online or calling your pharmacist can give you a definite answer. Whatever you may do, you will never want to flush any medication down the toilet.
Talk with Your Pharmacy
Some pharmacies will take back certain medications and help you get rid of them. To see if your pharmacy will do this, you can either visit their official website or talk with your pharmacy directly for more information.
Before throwing out your medication, always make sure your personal information is scratched off the container, and always do it on your own because you don’t want it ending up in the wrong hands. Not only can you save yourself from legal trouble, but you might even save someone’s life.

Drinking Out Of Refilled Plastic Water Bottle Is Unhygienic - Ajit Patel Goldshield, Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel UK

In a study involving the analysis of 12 types of plastic water bottles used by an athlete for one week without washing, it was found that drinking from a plastic water bottle that has continuously been refilled can be ‘many times worse than licking a dog’s toy’ when it comes to bacteria exposure
The result of the lab tests found that the top of the water-bottles were crawling in potentially harmful bacteria by the end of the week. More than 300,000 colony-forming units (CFU) were found on each square centimetre of the bottles on average. By contrast, the average pet toy has 2,937 CFU.
Gram-positive cocci was found on many of the bottles, which can lead to skin infections, pneumonia and blood poisoning.
A spokesperson said:
‘Drinking from these bottles can still be worse than eating a meal from your pet’s dish.’
The study found that bottles which you have to slide open with your fingers are worst, followed by squeeze tops and the researcher suggested using a dishwasher-proof reusable bottle that should be cleaned daily.

Enjoy Fish with a Clear Conscience - Ajit Patel UK, Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel Wellbeing

The importance of choosing sustainable fish has been widely reported in the media as many species of fish are thought to be at threat from over-fishing. In fact, some marine experts have warned that half of the world’s fish stocks are at risk. However European Union regulations, designed to combat the problem, are forcing fishermen to discard fish with no benefit to fish stocks or to the fishermen who need to make a living.
So how can we do our bit to ensure that we are buying fish in a responsible way?
  • Don’t just stick to haddock, cod, salmon, tuna and prawns which account for around 80% of fish bought in supermarkets in the UK each week. Instead try sustainable species such as Pollock or Coley.
  • If you’re lucky enough to live near to a fishing community, try to choose fish that has been caught locally. You’ll not only be supporting the local economy but fewer air miles will have been used to get the fish to you.
  • Give oily fish a try. Fish such as herring, mackerel and sprats are a sustainable choice and they’re also high in omega-3 fatty acids making them one of the healthiest choices too.
  • When buying tuna, check that it has been caught using ‘pole and line’ methods as this avoids other species such as dolphins, sharks and turtles being caught at the same time.
  • Check supermarket labels for the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) accreditation. The MSC develops standards for sustainable fishing and ensures that MSC-labelled products can be traced to a sustainable fishery.

What’s Really in Your Water: Why Tap isn’t as Bad as You Think - Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel UK, Ajit Patel Sanda

In recent years, many people have turned to drinking bottled water instead of tap water. Plastic water bottles are known to exude dangerous chemicals and wreck the environment, but many water-drinkers just don’t trust their local municipal tap water. In most cases, this mistrust is far from earned. In fact, the tap water might exceed bottled in terms of its bodily benefits. Here are a few positive things you’ll find in your tap water.
Fluoride
Most water systems add fluoride to the water to help people strengthen teeth and prevent the formation of cavities. This is especially helpful for children, since they are often more prone to cavities. While at home filtration systems typically remove this element from the water, drinking straight from the tap allows you to enjoy this extra benefit that’s sadly missing from bottled water. Your local Midwestern plumbing service may be able to recommend a filter that removes bacteria, but allows all, or at least part of the fluoride to stay in the water.
Minerals
People who drink water that comes from the ground through a well have been shown to have less risk for heart disease, thanks to the naturally occurring minerals in the water. Many cities draw at least part of their water supply from wells, and in some places, homes are still served this way. How do you know if your water contains healthy minerals like calcium and magnesium? If your neighbors complain of having hard water, then chances are, at least some of your drinking water came from underground sources. Plumbing services in Cincinnati OH say bottled water, unless otherwise labeled, is generally missing these natural disease-fighters.
Chlorine
No, you are not drinking pool water! Your tap water has been treated by certified treatment professionals, using a variety of chemicals designed to eliminate bacteria that could potentially pose health risks. Chlorine is the most common of these in part because it does such a good job as a disinfectant. The levels are continuously monitored to make sure nothing unsafe gets through, and that the water doesn’t taste like a hotel swimming pool. Instead, it just tastes clean and fresh. A plumbing service can easily test your tap water to tell you exactly what you’re getting in case you’re curious.
You may worry about what’s in your tap water, but the quality of municipal water is constantly on the rise, thanks to EPA and other regulations, not to mention the added fluoride and mineral content. You can feel free to drink up!

Be Water Smart in the Garden - Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel UK

The first rule of successful gardening is remembering to water the plants. It’s so simple that even tiny children can grasp the concept. But with something so instinctive, it’s easy to forget that there are right ways and wrong ways to water your garden. Here are some things to think about when it comes to watering:
Choose the right time of dayThe time of day that you water your plants is important – especially in summer. When the sun is beating down, you should avoid watering your plants at the hottest part of the day as the water can simply evaporate meaning that your plants will not get the full benefit. Instead, water your plants early in the morning or in the evening. Many gardening experts suggest that morning watering is best as this sets up your plants with a good source of moisture to see them through the day.
Water the rootsIt may sound obvious but it is the roots of the plant that need the water so if you are using a hosepipe or watering can to water your plants, make sure the water is getting to the roots and not simply hitting the foliage.
How much water? How much water your plants need will depend on the individual species of plant and the time of year. If you are growing salad leaves and vegetables you may need to vary the amount of water you give different plants – for example, lettuces often need a lot of water whereas beans can survive with much less. Meanwhile some crops such as potatoes can suffer from too much water and may turn mouldy if they become waterlogged.
Holiday wateringRemember to plan well ahead if you are going on holiday as you may need to recruit a friend or neighbour to water your garden while you are away. After investing several months watching seedlings grow, you don’t want your good work to be undone in a week or two when you are away. If you don’t have anyone you can ask to pop in, take a look online or at your local garden centre for automatic watering devices that will help keep your plants watered.
Use the right toolsIf you are watering a large area such as a lawn, you may find a hosepipe set on a sprinkler setting is the easiest way to water. However, if you are watering more delicate plants such as salad leaves or seedlings; a small watering can would be better so that the force of the water doesn’t damage the plants.
Mulch to save waterOf course, it’s important to save water wherever possible and using mulch can be a great way to make your watering routine last longer. If you’re new to gardening – mulch is simply a layer of material such as bark chippings or straw placed around the base of your plants to help lock in moisture. Mulching can also help protect plants from pests and weeds.
Invest in a water buttA water butt is a great way to make the most of rain water and makes an ecologically-friendly alternative to taking water straight from the tap.

Fresh, Local, Seasonal – The Rise of Farmer’s Markets - Ajit Patel Wellness , Ajit Patel Sanda

Farmer’s markets have become increasingly popular in recent years and now most large towns host a farmer’s market once or twice a month. These markets are a great place to find fresh, healthy, locally-grown produce. And when you shop at a farmer’s market, you have the added benefit of knowing that you are supporting your local economy and helping the environment by avoiding highly packaged, chemical-laden produce that’s been flown half way across the world.
The trick to successful shopping at a farmer’s market is to go with an open mind. You never know what you will find and different products will be in season at different times of year. Buy ingredients you haven’t tried before and get creative trying out new recipe ideas.
Remember that the produce at a farmer’s market might not look as flawless as that at your local supermarket. This is because supermarkets will often refuse to take products that aren’t perfectly shaped and unblemished. But just because the produce may be an odd shape or have mottled skin doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it. And if you’re unsure, the stallholders will be very happy to answer any questions you have.
Take your time to enjoy the experience, sample the produce and get new ideas. Remember to take your own shopping bags and plenty cash in case the stallholders are unable to accept credit card payments.

Get Composting - Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel Wellbeing

If you’re a keen gardener, why not save money by making your own compost? It’s an easy process and apart from taking the time to use the correct raw materials and giving your compost a fork over regularly, there is very little work involved.
The Benefits of CompostingComposting is an organic gardener’s dream. It’s good for your garden and it’s good for you. But if you are not yet convinced, here are the key benefits of composting:
  • Compost is great for growing plants and vegetables – everything grows better in compost-enriched soil
  • Adding compost increases the moisture content in the soil so you don’t need to water as often
  • Compost can repair soil damage caused by pesticides
  • Compost is an eco-friendly way of disposing of vegetable peelings and garden waste – throw your waste into a compost bin instead of using your dustbin
How to Get StartedIn order to make compost, you firstly need some kind of container. Compost bins are readily available from garden centres or online stores, or you can make your own by erecting a small enclosure from wood or wire mesh.
Location is important. Ideally a compost bin needs to be sited in a sunny spot in the garden as heat helps to speed up the decomposition process. Shade won’t prevent decomposition from happening, but it will significantly slow it down.
Adding the Right IngredientsFor best results, you need to add a variety of nitrogen-rich material to your compost bin. Green material such as grass cuttings, vegetable peelings, tea and coffee grounds and dead flowers are all beneficial. You can also add brown material such as ripped up newspaper, straw and small pieces of cardboard. However, there are some things you shouldn’t add to a compost heap. These include:
  • Perennial weeds
  • Pet litter
  • Coal ash
  • Cooked food
  • Meat and dairy
  • Diseased plants
Take Care of your CompostComposting relies on airflow and warmth for success. Place woody material, such as branches and twigs on the bottom and layer up to increase airflow. Alternate green with brown, so every time you throw in some grass cuttings, add a layer of straw or paper. This will help to balance the compost and increase its moisture content.
Turn your compost regularly to ensure the materials are well blended together. Don’t be afraid to dig your hand in to see if it feels damp enough. If your compost is too dry, it will take a long time to decompose.
Problem Solving
  • Nothing’s happening! Cold conditions prevent decomposition, so you will have to be patient
  • My compost is all slimy! Adding too much of the same material can lead to slimy compost. Remove the slimy layer and throw in some brown stuff, for example paper or straw
As long as you take the time to choose the right location, add the right ingredients and look after your compost, you should end up with a dark, crumbly material. Do remember, though, that composting doesn’t happen overnight. It may take months for you to see any tangible results from your composting efforts, so don’t give up if nothing appears to be happening in the compost heap.

Tapping into Better Water: Understanding the Effects of Cleaner Water - Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel Wemet

Years ago people just put up with the quality of the water that came into their homes. There was not much of a choice since homes often got water from wells, springs and cisterns. Homes in rural areas often still rely on these water sources. Municipal water supplies are contending with lake, river and reservoir sources that are difficult to decontaminate. Clean water is a precious commodity that is increasingly difficult to source or attain, but there are many benefits to making sure cleaner water is available in every home.
Municipal WaterChlorine is a standard chemical used in chemically treating water before distribution to homes through underground pipes. Chlorine reacts with organic matter to create another chemical called trihalomethanes, which the EPA associates with a higher risk of bladder cancer. According to Cancer.org, the United States has about 74,000 new bladder cancer cases diagnosed each year. Municipal water treatment facilities remove lead to federal standards only to have it get back in the water as it travels through miles of pipes that are, in some areas, more than 100 years old. Homes built before 1986 likely have lead solder used at pipe joints.
Well, Spring and Cistern WaterA home’s occupants are at the mercy of whatever exists in the local ground that the water filters through. Various organics, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, man-made chemicals and even radioactivity may be present in the water source. Fertilizers, animal waste and other things that contaminate water are common to rural water sources that some people erroneously consider to be purer than city or bottled water.
Water HardnessMinerals present in water in high concentrations make water hard. This contributes to rust stains and mineral buildup in toilet bowls, sinks, showers and bathtubs. It also contributes to clogged shower heads and ice makers, and mineral buildup on faucets and in dishwashers and washing machines. Hard water also makes it more difficult to remove dirt from dishes or clothes washed in it, and shower soaps and shampoos are less effective in hard water. Soap works by essentially making water wetter. It breaks surface tension and gets the dirt to lift off the object being cleaned. Hard water prevents soap from doing its job as a surfactant.
Home Water TreatmentWhole house water softeners and water filtration as done by Water Systems is an example of treating water in the home before it is used by the occupants. Water softener systems help to prevent mineral buildup, and they make soaps and detergents work much better without buying laundry additives or needing to use expensive calcium, lime and rust removers on plumbing fixtures. Water filtration removes lead, iron, chlorine and other contaminants and even improves the taste of water. Anyone sensitive to water softener salts need only have faucets used for drinking, cooking or ice making bypassed.
It is no secret that municipal water has a growing list of contaminants and heavy metals that are becoming increasingly difficult to remove. Rural water systems have no treatment other than what a homeowner installs. Modern water treatment technology is affordable and does a spectacular job of treating and filtering water that families across America are using every day.

Warning! Clutter is Bad for Your Health - Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel Wellbeing

Is your home environment an oasis of calm and tranquillity or do you feel like it’s a constant battle to keep your house tidy and organised? Well, if you struggle to keep your home free from clutter, you are not alone. With full time jobs and busy lives, keeping on top of household organisation is difficult for many.
The problem is that in our consumer-driven society it’s easy to find your home quickly fills with clutter. Whether it’s overflowing drawers and cupboards or piles of paperwork and unloved toys, living amidst chaos and clutter isn’t pleasant and can even be harmful to your health.
Clutter may seem like a trivial problem but has been linked to anxiety, exhaustion and depression. People often find it hard to be positive or motivated when surrounded by an untidy environment and living amidst mess can put a strain on relationships too – particularly when family members criticise one another for the clutter.
Your physical health can also be impacted by clutter. For example, a mountain of stuffed toys in the bedroom is a haven for dust mites. Pet hair and dust gathering amongst clutter can aggravate allergies. An office overflowing with paperwork and electrical equipment could be a fire hazard. And odds and ends in hallways or on staircases can be a trip hazard or could prevent you escaping quickly in the event of a fire.
The problem is that once the clutter gets out of control it can be difficult to find the time to get your home back in order. And when faced with a house full of mess, many people struggle to know where to start.
The solution is to start small. Trying to deal with the whole house in one go is unrealistic and if you take on too much at once, it’s easy to become disheartened and give up.  So don’t think about trying to sort out the whole house or even a whole cupboard in one go. Instead, break the task down into small manageable chunks – and spend just five minutes at a time sorting things out. Five minutes might not sound long but it’s amazing how much you can actually get done. For example, if you have an untidy wardrobe that is bursting at the seams, spend just five minutes pulling out a few items that can be taken to the charity shop.
If you spend a few minutes each day doing this, by the end of the week, you’ll find that your wardrobe is much more organised. Or if your kitchen cupboards need cleaning don’t try to organise them all at once – instead keep a rubbish bag, cloth and detergent to hand and sort out just one shelf at a time. Perhaps each time you are waiting for the kettle to boil you could sort just one shelf. Alternatively, a really quick way to make a start on clutter is to go from room to room with two bin bags – one for rubbish and one for the charity shop.

Feel the Heat without Feeling the Cost - Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel UK

When the temperature drops, most of us automatically turn up the heating. But of course, this not only leads to higher energy bills but to an increased output of carbon emissions too. So are there ways to stay warm and snuggly without increasing your energy costs? Here are some ideas:
Check for drafts – if you feel a chill in the room, check that you aren’t exposed to any drafts. It may be worth repairing broken window seals, investing in thicker curtains, or investing in draft excluders to help save on your energy bills.
Install insulation – if you don’t have adequate insulation, you could be losing a big chunk of the heat from your house through your attic. Check if you have insulation and if not, research what options are available to you.
Individual radiators – if you are you able to control your radiators individually, remember to turn them down in the rooms you are not using. There is little point heating every room in the house if you’re only using one or two rooms each day.
Get together – if you’re sat in the dining room, your partner is in the living room and your children are each in their own bedrooms, then you could be paying to heat four separate rooms. Why not come together as a family in just one room – to play a game, read together or watch a DVD? It will give you valuable family time and allow you to switch off the heating in the unused rooms.

Using Tea and Coffee in the Garden - Ajit Patel Wellness , Ajit Patel Sanda

After a busy morning in the garden, there’s nothing quite like sitting down with your favourite beverage. But there’s plenty you can do with tea and coffee in the garden besides simply drinking it.
If you take the time to make a pot of fresh coffee (rather than instant), you’ll have a ready supply of coffee grounds. These nutrient-rich leftovers contain several minerals including nitrogen, magnesium, calcium, potassium and there are lots of ways you can use them in the garden.
Here are some ways coffee can be used in the garden:
Combat Slugs and SnailsIf you’re looking for a natural way to keep slugs and snails away from your plants, coffee grounds are a great weapon to include in your arsenal. Simply put a circle of the grounds around the plants you want to protect. Slugs and snails will be put off by the rough texture and won’t want to cross over the grounds to reach your plants. Caffeine is also toxic to slugs and snails – another reason why they will be reluctant to come near your coffee grounds.
Improve your CompostThrow leftover coffee grounds into your compost bin. As they are rich in nitrogen, this will help improve the quality of your compost.
Add to your SoilYou can simply sprinkle coffee grounds onto your soil to boost the nitrogen content.
Create a Liquid FertiliserTake two cups of leftover coffee grounds and add them to five gallons of water. Leave to steep for a few hours and you’ll have a free and natural fertiliser for your garden.
More of a tea drinker? Don’t worry, we’ve got tips for using tea in the garden too.
A Boost for CompostJust like coffee grounds, used teabags can be added to your compost bin or directly to soil to boost the nutrient content. You don’t even need to open the bag first as it will decompose just like other waste that you add to your compost bin. Just be sure to remove any tags that are attached to the teabags first.
Treat Mild SunburnIf you’ve caught the sun while gardening and have a painful spot of sunburn, place a used cooled wet teabag on the area and it will help soothe the sunburn. If you have sunburn over a larger area, you can add teabags to your bath to create a soothing soak. Of course, if your sunburn is more serious, you should seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
Repel PestsSome gardeners claim that weak tea can help repel pests. Simply use your used teabags to create a cold, weak jug of tea. Decant into a spray bottle and use to spray the leaves of your plants.
Feed your RosesTeabags can be used to create a natural fertiliser for your plants. Roses in particular are said to benefit from the nutrients found in a used teabag.
So, there you go, next time you’re enjoying a well-earned coffee or tea break in your garden, save the grounds or the teabag and see whether they can give your garden a boost.

How to Respond if Your New Medical Device is Recalled - Ajit Patel wellness, Ajit Patel Goldshield, Ajit patel wemet

A medical device is meant to make one’s life easier or to repair a physical problem. When these devices work well, individuals can practically forget that they have them. However, when the device malfunctions, one’s life can quite literally be at stake. Instead of panicking when a medical device is recalled, individuals can quickly yet calmly follow these steps to address and rectify the problem.
Contact the DoctorBecause one’s life may be at stake, it is imperative that the individual contact his or her doctor or the surgeon who placed the device. The surgeon should be aware of any recalls and will be able to advise each affected patient on the next step. Some patients may only need to come in for a readjustment or for a brief device check. Others may need to consider having a new device placed.
Watch for ProblemsThe doctor will also be able to provide a list of problems that the individual should watch out for if the device malfunctions. These problems can vary dramatically but could include pain, rapid heart rhythm or neurological changes. The Food and Drug Administration also provides complete lists of potential problems online.
Check OnlineIf an individual cannot get the information that he or she needs from the doctor, much of the same information can be found online. Once again, the FDA has lists of medical devices, recalls and complaints online. Online law firms also provide a wealth of information regarding medical device recalls.
Find a Reputable Personal Injury LawyerA personal injury lawyer or a specialty firm near you can lead you down the right path during a medical device recall, helping you to know what steps to follow, what paperwork to file and how to obtain compensation from the manufacturer. A lawyer will also be able to help with class action lawsuits.
When a medical device has been recalled, it is vital that the individual with the device deals with the potential problem immediately rather than hoping that all will be well. Some recalls may only require a simple repair of the device, such as an adjustment of settings or an inspection. In any case, a personal injury lawyer will be able to guide the individual should he or she decide to pursue a legal case against the medical device manufacturer, or a lawyer can get the individual involved in any applicable class action lawsuit.

Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel Wellbeing - Four Alternatives to Tap Water

Tap water is one of the most common resources to use in most households and is needed for cooking, bathing, and drinking. Although it may be easy to attain, tap water is not as clean or healthy as most people assume. With over 60,000 chemicals used in tap water, it’s can at times be contaminated and has been known to have traces of arsenic and uranium in past years. In cities with older pipes, the chances of contamination are marginally higher. To avoid tap water completely, there are several other alternatives that are more natural and clean to use.
Purchase a Brita FilterBrita filters are one of the most common tools to use to filter water and can be placed directly on the faucet. Brita filter pitchers are also available, which allows consumers to fill the jug with tap water before it’s filtered, causing lead and mercury to be immediately removed. Zinc and chlorine are also removed, which results in a better overall taste.
Use Distilled WaterDistilled water is considered water in its purest form and is an ideal option for those who live in cities that have low pollution levels. Distilled water is obtained from rain and is void of all additives, contaminants, and chemicals. Distilled water can also be made by boiling tap water in a stainless steel pot and using a glass bowl in the water, which will fill with steam and become clean drinking water.
Opt for Bottled WaterBottled water is an affordable alternative with many brands available that offer purified water. It’s important to find a brand that does not just use tap water, but is clean and void of chemicals. A pH test of different water bottle brands will reveal which company offers the cleanest bottled water.
Water delivery services are also available through major providers for a convenient way of getting clean, purified water delivered right to your door. Customers can even set up automated delivery each week or month for a great way to have a full supply and avoid using tap water.
Obtain a Filtration System
Filtration systems can be used on the plumbing in a home after installation by a trained Brampton plumbing specialists. This will allow the water to come out clean through the faucet. Several water treatment systems are used, which include chlorine removal, whole home automatic filtration systems, and water softeners. Specialists can also test the quality of the water to determine any chemicals or toxins that are present.
Instead of heading to the sink when cooking or to get a glass of water, there are several other alternatives to obtain clean water that is in a pure state. Through bottled water, filtration systems, and by making distilled water, it’s possible to have healthier sources of water and a higher quality of taste.

Non-Surgical Anti-Ageing Treatments at Day Spas - Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel Sanda

Non-surgical anti-aging treatments may sound like something out of a science fiction magazine, but they are here, and they work. Many day spas offer a variety of these kinds of treatments that are proven to show results. You don’t need to spend a fortune, undergo the knife, or put yourself at risk for a number of potential complications to enjoy the benefits of these anti-aging procedures.

Whether you want to help reduce fine lines, smooth out your complexion, or just get younger, more radiant skin, here are some of the most popular non-surgical anti-aging treatments available on a typical day spa menu.

Microdermabrasion

You may have heard about this treatment many times, and that’s because it works. A trained aesthetician cleanses the face and then using a wand with a gently rotating, abrasive disc scrubs away at the topmost layer of skin. The dead, blemished cells are sloughed away, allowing the fresh, new skin to rise to the surface.

With continued treatments over an extended period of time, microdermabrasion can even reach blemishes that lie deeper within the skin, such as sun damage, age spots, and acne scars. This treatment offers softer, smother skin and a brighter completion.

Chemical Peels

There are many different types of chemical peels available that range from mild to treat just the surface to intense that reach deep into the skin to treat scars, sun damage, and wrinkles. The chemicals help strip away the dead skin and promotes growth of new, refreshed cells. For deep treatments, you may require a few weeks of recovery; however, the light and medium peels have little downtime and any residual redness can be camouflaged by makeup.

Fat Transfer

Want the benefits of a non-surgical anti-aging treatment but don’t want to use artificial substances such as Botox and facial filler? Many day spas offer fat transfer procedures.

A small portion of fat is taken from a concealable area such as your inner or outer thigh and is then transferred to another part of your body or face to fill out hollow areas or deep furrows. It is commonly used under the eyes, in the cheek area, on the lips, on the jaw line and between the brows. You can naturally plump and rejuvenate your face with your own, natural fat.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

There are many different kinds of lasers and treatments which can perform a wide variety of non-surgical anti-ageing treatments. Most are targeted to treat such problems as spider veins, fine lines, uneven skin tone, acne scars, and sun damage. Bright light breaks up the skin cells to allow new growth. 4 Serious Supplements to Jump-start Your Energy Levels - Ajit Patel Wellness, Ajit Patel UK

Everyone wants more energy to deal with the demands of daily life. If you have low energy levels, you may desire a natural supplement or vitamin to boost your energy levels. While it may be okay to have an energy drink or caffeinated products from time to time, you may want to choose a supplement that is a more natural way to boost your energy. Here are four supplements that will boost your energy levels.
B VitaminsB Vitamins such as B6 and B12 are good supplements to boost energy levels. B6 is one of the best treatments for “tired blood,” which is better known as anemia. Anemia can be caused by many different conditions, one of which is a poor diet. Taking vitamin B6 supplements is one good way to ensure you have enough B6 in your diet. B12 is another good vitamin choice to boost your energy levels. B12 is a vitamin that regulates and maintains the nervous system. Taking a B12 vitamin supplement may boost the nervous system and, in turn, give you an energy boost.
CoQ10Coenzyme Q10 is a substance found in body cells that works a bit like a vitamin. It is used in the body to help the cells of your body produce energy. Taking Co-E1 supplements, such as the CoQ10 product, will help the cells in your body generate more energy and may also help you if you experience fatigue routinely. The enzyme is also an antioxidant that helps the body produce healthy cells.
GinsengGinseng is a hot supplement right now. It has been used historically as a tonic, and to boost energy levels over a period of time. There are several types of ginseng, but all of them boost energy levels and aid in concentration. Asian ginseng is more stimulating that American Ginseng. Ginseng has also been known to reduce blood sugar levels, which may also increase energy levels.
Green Tea
Green tea offers at least two substances that boost energy levels. One of them is caffeine. Caffeine gives you a boost in energy and attention level, lowers blood sugar and raises blood pressure as well as giving you a burst of energy. One of the reasons green tea is preferred to some of the caffeine products available to use is that it contains antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the body from free radicals. Free radicals are substances in the environment that cause cell deterioration and can also cause cancer.

Vitamins and minerals are essential to our bodies functioning properly, but what the best places that we can get our daily intake from?
Vitamin AThe best way to get a dose of vitamin A is to eat sweet potatoes. Just one medium-sized baked sweet potato contains more than 28,000 international units of vitamin A. That is 561 percent of your recommended daily amount. You can also get your dose in beef liver, spinach, eggs and milk. Vitamin A plays a very important role in your body’s immune system, reproductive behaviours, and especially vision.
Vitamin B6Fish and beef liver are two of the best sources of vitamin B6, but the ultimate is chickpeas. Popular in the vegetarian diet, chickpeas can be added to anything including stews and curries. Vitamin B6 is a key vitamin as it helps in the metabolism of food and to stabilise blood sugar levels.
Vitamin B12Vitamin B12 is essential for healthy a nervous system and for the formation of DNA and red blood cells. Oysters are one of the best choices but you can also find fight amounts in fish like tuna, trout and salmon.
Vitamin CVitamin C is one of the most important vitamins of all and you can find it in nearly all types of fruit and vegetables.  Its most important role is an anti-oxidant. Red peppers are actually one of the best sources of the vitamin.
CalciumOne of the most abundant minerals in the body, we need to replenish our supplies very often. Dairy products are great for getting our recommended daily amount. Of course many dairy products including cheese and cream are high in calories and fat, so if you’re looking for a healthier alternative you could try low-fat yoghurt.
